"Round table" (Communication skills)

Group activity.
1. They read about the features of a communication skill called "Round table": definition, members, aims, duration of time, etc.
2. They prepared an outline using all that information so they could present it to their class mates.
3. They chose a topic to talk about (Carnival in Tenerife), distributed roles and rehearsed the way they would perform the "roundtable".

Market Research (outline)

CEPA Güímar's teachers have had a meeting to brainstorm about working together around a project called "Market research": http://cepaguimar2012.blogspot.com.es/

We'll work with students from the following groups: Candelaria II A mañana, Candelaria II B mañana and Güímar II mañana.

Why these groups? Because the permanent staff works in common with these groups, while other groups have some other teachers who are provisional and don't depend on our school directly.

Jéssica Noda (Science teacher) has suggested the topic and provided the planning:

Literatura Medieval

1- Groups of three students in the computer room. They'll be the "experts" in different sections related to "Mediaeval Spanish Literature", and then they all will share their knowledge about the topic: features, different authors, their works, etc

2- They listened to the information displayed in our Virtual Classroom (EpaVirtual) and they checked it using their class materials. The aim is writing an outline after 20 minutes of study (see video above).
We selected the following videos from YouTube and embedded them in "EpaVirtual".

3- After studying their parts, they drew their outlines on the board and talked about it to the rest of the class. Everybody took notes of it. We also read about each part to provide complementary information.
